The World Toilet Day 2015 celebration was held at the East Avenue Medical Center in Quezon City last November 13. Unilever Philippines, through its leading germ-kill expert cleaner brand Domex, spearheaded the celebration in partnership with the Philippine Public Health Association. Together, they pursue the advocacy of having clean toilets not only at home, but also in all the hospitals in the country.
“We wanted to help people who suffered the consequences of poor hygiene. We want to educate them on proper toilet sanitation that will enable them to prevent sickness from happening again.” said Anna Mangilin, Unilever Marketing Director for Homecare.
The hospital housekeeping staff were trained on proper toilet hygiene using DOMEX, the germ-kill expert, as well as distributing educational materials to patients.
But wait, there’s more! Patients from Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center, Rizal Medical Center and Maxicare clinics also received the right tools for proper toilet sanitation.
Unilever and PHAP succeeded in its 3rd year of celebrating the World Toilet Day, because more than a million supported the program.
