Who is the lucky endorser?
That’s the big question that echoed inside the Sapphire room of Crown Plaza Ortigas Center last May 11. Everyone present at the Great Taste Choose to be Great media event were curious to know.
We were sharing our guesses while sipping on our favorite Great Taste coffee products. Of course, I always ask for Great Taste White Smooth and Creamy.
After the sumptuous lunch and a short game that deals about morning activities, the new Great Taste endorser was finally revealed – it was “My Popoy” JLC!
“We are very pleased to have John Lloyd Cruz as the latest addition to the Great Taste family. As our endorser, we believe he will reinforce our values and philosophy with the same kind of passion and greatness that he has exemplified in his life,” said Universal Robina Corporation President and Chief Executive Officer Lance Gokongwei.
Mr. Gokongwei, stressed out that URC believed in the greatness of every Filipinos, whether small triumphs or big achievements, humbled innovations or grand ideas. Pinoys have the innate abilities to exhibit their greatness everyday, from the choices we make to the risk we take.

After introducing John Lloyd, we had a glimpse of Great Taste’s newest campaign featuring JLC.
In an interview during the event, John Lloyd said that he believes in the greatness of Filipinos. However, he never really sees himself as someone who’s great. Maybe in the things he do like projects that turned out to be great most of the time.
