Manaoag is known as a pilgrimage site to Catholics. It is home to Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag.
Last September 9, M.O.M visited the Manaoag Shrine, in time for the celebration of Mama Mary’s birthday. It was my second time to pray to Nuestra Senora de Manaoag, the first time was in January 2011.
It was Sunday when we visited, there were many pilgrims and locals who attended the mass.
I brought with me the white rosary I received from a friend who visited Manaoag, four years ago.
To complete my visit, I bought 10 candles, have them blessed and offered prayer in behalf of my family and relatives.
To those who would like to pray and visit Manaoag Basilica, the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag will be on October 7, 2012. Novena Masses will start on September 28 from 5:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m.
From Manila, it will take 4 hours drive to reach Manaoag, Pangasinan or you can commute through Dagupan Bus Transit and Victory Liner.
Sounds like you really enjoyed your experience.
The Our Lady of Manaoag Shrine was the last place we visited before the untimely demise of my FIL, that’s why this place is very memorable to us.
I would also like to go in Manaoag. I think it is a great experience and it will deepen our faith to what we believe in.
My grandma in my father side is a devotee of the lady of Manaoag . Everytime she visit her home( which is in Pangasinan) she always visits the place.
I have never been there but I wish. It is one of those places that I want to visit.
I feel blessed that I was able to visit this place for a couple of times. It’s refreshing to visit religious places, it gives you a positive vibe, hope and energy to face your life.
I have had the chance to visit the Our Lady of Manaoag Shrine a long time ago, sure would like to revisit it.
I haven’t been to Manaog yet. Though I would say that if I want to expose Dindin to Holy Week rituals, I would have to bring her here 😀
Oh I want to visit Manaoag too and it’s quite long hour trip huh. Hopefully we can visit there soon.
I’ve been here around 20 years ago, I think Would love to go back again 🙂
I hope to visit Manaoag someday soon. I know I will love the place.
I was just reading a post about the San Sebastian church as a historical landmark and the possibility for it to be included as a world heritage site. The church of Manaog has been a favorite stopovers of tourists visiting the summer city of Baguio and I think this one deserves its own list of accolades.
My parents brought me there when I was a little kid. Unfortunately I couldn’t remember anything of the visit. I want to go back someday. 🙂
Thanks for the information about Manaog. I hope me and the whole family can visit the place on or before the feast day.
I’ve never been there actually, only just passed-by. Hopefully our next trip will be headed there.
Our family has been visiting the Manaoag shrine for years now. We wouldn’t miss a year without going to this place. The feeling while praying there is really uplifting! However, distance really puts a strain in the body, but being there, it seems that the aura is replenishing my energy! 😀
You’re fortunate to have been in Manaoag twice and had that experience to attend mass exactly on her birthday.
I didn’t know it’s a quick trip going to Manaoag from Manila… I may have gone here already if this is the case… memory gap! Yikes!
Oh! I miss Manaoag.. Its been years since I last visited her.. Hopefully I can go back this year.
Wish to see this holy place next year on a holy week probably with my family 🙂
This shrine is very important to my mother. I have not visited yet, but it’s definitely in my list of places to visit next year.
What other activities are there in Manaoag, pangasinan aside from this?
I have only visited the Our Lady of Manaoag twice. Hopefully, I can go back soon.
i have always wanted to visit the lady of manaoag. I think, it would be a nice experience , how i wonder when would that be?
